PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) - Pensacola International Airport (PNS) has reopened just hours after Hurricane Michael barreled through the Florida Panhandle.

According to a post on the airport's Facebook page, "minimal operations" were set to resume at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. PNS had been closed since 12:01 a.m.

Weather permitting, Delta Air Lines flights 1814, 2182, 1236 and 1213 were scheduled for Wednesday.

Flights Wednesday on American Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Silver Airways, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines were canceled.

PNS recommended passengers contact their airlines prior to heading to the airport to confirm flight status.
